Before planting, soak the tubers for a couple of hours. They will grow in any type of well-drained soil. Anemone coronaria is sold in mixed colors. Even the small tubers (around 1 inch) will flower!

The Anemone coronaria De Caen varieties (single flowered) are also called "Florist" or "Poppy-flowered" anemones. The Anemone coronaria ‘St Brigid’ varieties are double flowered.
