Shards or clay granules, potting soil
Instructions:
Place the shards or clay granules on the bottom and then add a 2-inch layer of potting soil. Plant the later-flowering daffodils as the bottom layer. Cover with potting soil and then arrange the earlier-flowering anemones on top. Fill to the rim with potting soil.

Instructions:
Place the shards or clay granules on the bottom and then add a 10-cm layer of potting compost. Plant the later flowering tulips as the lower layer, cover with potting compost, and plant the earlier flowering anemones on top. Fill to the rim with potting compost.
